Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) is a key transcription factor in anoxic circumstances. Little is known about changes in biological characters of hematological malignancies, especially leukemia. This study was to explore the influence of RNA interference (RNAi) targeting HIF-1α on homoharringtonine (HHT)-sensitivity of human chronic myelogeneous leukemia (CML) K562 cells.
