Ethanol intake (1% in the drinking water) causes a 2.16-fold increase in tumor weight over controls in an immunocompetant C57BL/6 mouse allografted with B16F10 melanoma cells. Chronic alcohol consumption stimulates VEGF expression, tumor angiogenesis and progression of melanoma in mice.
